In order to thoroughly implement the State Council's Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Orderly and Healthy Development of the Internet of Things and the Law of the People's Republic of China on Special Equipment Safety, we will promote the level of information and intelligence in elevators, escalators and moving walkways (hereinafter referred to as lifts). Improve product quality and service levels, improve elevator safety and passenger satisfaction, and government regulatory efficiency. The National Standards Committee speeds up the development of relevant standards.
On July 12, 2017, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (AQSIQ) approved the issuance of the "Technical Specification for Internet of Things for Elevators, Escalators, and Moving Walkways" (GB/T 24476-2017) (hereinafter referred to as "the Elevator Internet of Things"). National standards have scientifically standardized the technical requirements for the elevator Internet of Things. The standard will be implemented from February 1, 2018.
2. Meaning of purpose
The Internet of Things (IoT) system of elevators is a system that uses the Internet of Things technology to sense the real-time running status of elevators using intelligent devices installed on elevators, send them to application platforms through the network, and analyze and process the collected data.
With the application and popularization of China's Internet of Things technology, in recent years, some cities (eg Chongqing, Beijing, Hangzhou, Nanjing, etc.) and companies have successively tried and promoted the application of the Internet of Things system in elevator management. The development of the elevator IoT system, industry training, and industrial applications have initially established a certain basis, but there are also interfaces, protocols, standards, and platforms that are not unified and cannot be interconnected. IoT devices that are not standardized have been installed on elevators for safe operation. Potential risks, hidden dangers in network information security, blind construction in some places, etc. Urgently need to strengthen guidance, resolve as soon as possible, and regulate as soon as possible, otherwise unified in the future, it will be difficult, resources are wasted, and it is easy to bring hidden troubles to the safe operation of elevators. .
The “Internet of Things Specification” will promote the application and development of elevator IoT technology, promote the construction of elevator product traceability system, and implement the “Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Accelerating the Construction of Traceability System of Important Products” (Guobanfa  No. 95). ) Laws and regulations provide technical support. This standard promotes the transformation of the elevator industry to intelligent, improves the quality of elevator products, ensures the safe operation of elevator products, improves the level of informatization of the elevator industry, raises the level of public services, lowers the cost of supervision, improves the efficiency of supervision, and improves the related disciplines of elevator internet of things. The development and technological innovation capabilities, as well as the promotion of the elevator industry from personnel-intensive to technology-intensive, are all of great significance.
Therefore, the issuance of the “Internet of Things Specification” is very necessary and timely, and is the technical guarantee for the orderly and healthy development of China’s elevator IoT technology.
3. The main preparation process
In December 2013, the National Standards Committee "Circular on Release of the Second National Standard Revision Plan for 2013" (GBS General  No. 90) approved GB/T 24476-2009 Elevator for Internet of Things. Escalators and moving walkways, data information specification, revised plan items.
At the beginning of 2014, the relevant organization of the Elevator Standards Committee organized the establishment team to draft the “Internet of Things Specification”. In order to do a good job in the preparation of the standard, the preparation team has conducted extensive investigations and research and special scientific research work. For related areas such as intelligent buildings, communication protocols, electromagnetic compatibility, and network security, relevant data has been researched, and experts in related fields have conducted technical exchanges and consultations, researched relevant companies and technical institutions, and focused on some key points of elevator Internet of Things. Technical topics (such as: equipment-side public output interface protocol, electromagnetic compatibility, network transmission security, etc.), carried out theoretical research, special discussions and experimental verification.
In February 2015, an Exposure Draft was issued to solicit comments from the community.
In July 2015, the compiling team meticulously and meticulously discussed the comments and suggestions solicited and formed a standard review draft;
In January 2016, the manuscript was approved by the Elevator Standards Committee;
In March 2016, approval documents and other approval documents were formed;
In early April 2016, the elevator standard committee applied for approval;
On July 12, 2017, the National Standards Committee approved the release.
4. The main content
1) System Architecture
This standard defines the system architecture from elevator equipment to enterprise application platform, enterprise application platform to government safety supervision platform, and highlights the main responsibility of the enterprise.
2) Public output interface of elevator equipment
The standard specifies that the public output interface of elevator equipment is RS-485, and the output protocol is BACnet.
3) Safety isolation measures
The standard requires that isolation measures be taken between the common output interface of the elevator equipment and the elevator equipment. The monitoring terminal cannot affect the normal operation of the elevator equipment. The common output interface only outputs information and does not accept external control instructions.
4) Output information of the common output port
The standard stipulates that the common output port of elevator equipment should output alarms, faults and events of elevator equipment, as well as real-time operating status information and statistical information.
5) Additional sensors
The standard requires that if additional sensors are used to collect elevator equipment signals, the additional sensors are not connected to the electrical lines of the elevator equipment itself and should not affect the original functions and operating safety of the elevator equipment, and should be consistent with the application of the elevator equipment. The requirements of the sensor (such as fire, explosion, etc.).
6) Inter-platform data exchange protocol
The standard specifies that RESTful Web APIs should be used for data exchange between enterprise application platforms and elevator safety supervision platforms.
7) Platform Data Access Security Requirements
The standard specifies the security requirements for data transmission and storage between platforms. OAuth2.0 is used for identity authentication and authorization, and 256-bit TLS encryption technology is used to encrypt data.
8) Enterprise application platform configuration elevator equipment basic information
The standard requires that the enterprise application platform should configure the basic information of the elevator equipment in the background (such as elevator equipment manufacturer, date of manufacture, date of installation, etc.) and be associated with the unique identifier of the elevator equipment so that the enterprise can fully grasp the information of the elevator equipment. It also facilitates the government's supervision of elevator equipment.
9) Unified information and format of elevator equipment
The standard unifies the information and format of real-time running status of elevator equipment, as well as the information and format of alarms, faults and events.
10) Information Transfer Protocol Specification
Appendix B of the normative specification gives a specific example of the BACnet output protocol for the public output port of elevator equipment, and Appendix C provides specific examples of the RESTful Web API for inter-platform information exchange to facilitate the application.
5. Effect of release
The “Internet of elevators specification” is independently developed by China. There are no relevant international standards in the world, and developed countries do not have corresponding national standards. Its implementation has great social and economic benefits.
Firstly, the establishment of an elevator IoT system is helpful to the remote real-time fault diagnosis and analysis of elevators, early detection of safety hazards, early warning of safety, and preventive maintenance in advance to prevent elevators from running sick and improve maintenance efficiency; It is helpful for elevator companies to analyze fault statistics, improve product design, improve product quality and safe operation, and lay a technical foundation for the construction of elevator product traceability system.
Secondly, the standards for elevator IoT are unified, which can save a large amount of social resources. It also standardizes the application of IoT technology in the field of elevators, facilitates the establishment of enterprise application platforms, and facilitates the establishment of a unified regulatory platform for government regulatory agencies. Break the boundaries between localities and enterprises and maximize the advantages of the Internet of Things.
Third, it helps to further strengthen the coordination among elevator users, elevator supervision departments, elevator equipment manufacturing and service companies. Through the analysis and statistics of the collected data, it can guarantee the safe operation of elevators and provide timely, reliable, and comprehensive information for the government's scientific decisions.
Fourth, in response to the green and environmentally friendly national development strategy, elevator equipment uses BACnet's open protocol output device information to better integrate smart buildings and smart cities.
Fifth, the traditional elevator industry has been integrated with mobile communications, cloud computing, the Internet, and satellite communications to accelerate the development and innovation of key technologies such as elevator-related sensors, intelligent terminals, big data processing, intelligent analysis, and service integration. To accurately grasp the running status of elevator equipment in real time, it is easy to provide powerful technical support for the refinement and preventive maintenance of elevator equipment.
Sixth, it will promote the formation of a number of elevator IoT technology research and development institutions, engineering centers, and enterprise technology centers to promote the collaborative research of the elevator industry and communications, computing and storage industries, break through the bottleneck of industrial development, and promote the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure and development and transformation.
