Do not take the elevator when emergency escape

Jan 03, 2019

The first trick: escape rehearsal, no danger

Everyone needs to know the structure and escape route of the building where they work, study or live. If necessary, they can organize emergency escape rehearsals to familiarize themselves with the fire protection facilities in the building and the methods of self-rescue escape. In this way, when a fire occurs, you will not feel that there is no way to go.

Second: familiar with the environment, secretly export

When you are in an unfamiliar environment, such as staying at a hotel, shopping in a mall, or entering an entertainment venue, be sure to pay attention to evacuation routes, safety exits, and stairways for your own safety, so that you can escape from the scene as soon as possible.

The third one: the channel exit, unimpeded

Stairs, passages, safety exits, etc. are the most important escape routes in the event of a fire. They should be unobstructed, and must not be stacked or locked, so that they can pass safely and quickly in an emergency.

The fourth trick: extinguish a small fire, benefit others

When a fire breaks out, if the fire is not found to be large and has not caused a great threat to people, when there are enough fire-fighting equipment around, such as fire extinguishers and fire hydrants, you should try to control and extinguish the small fire.

Fifth : Keep calm, clear direction, and quickly evacuate

In the event of a fire, in the face of heavy smoke and fire, you must first keep yourself calm, quickly determine dangerous locations and safe locations, decide on ways to escape, and evacuate the danger as soon as possible.

Sixth : not in danger, not greed

When you are in danger, you should evacuate as soon as possible. Don't waste your precious time on dressing or looking for and moving away from valuables because you are shy or take care of valuables.

    Seventh: Simple protection, nose

In order to prevent smoke from entering the fire, you can use a towel, a mask, and a nose. The smoke is lighter than the air and floats on the upper part. It is the best way to avoid the inhalation of smoke and filter out the toxic gas. Pass through the fire-blocking area, wear protective masks, helmets, fire-retardant insulation suits, etc. If you don't have these protective gears, you can put cold water on your head or body, or use wet towels, wet quilts, wet blankets, etc. Wrap your head and body and rush out.

Eighth: make good use of the passage, do not enter the elevator

Buildings designed and built to standard specifications will have more than two escape stairs, passages or safety exits. In the event of a fire, you should choose to enter a relatively safe stairway depending on the situation. In addition to the use of stairs, you can also use the balcony, window sills, etc. of the building to climb to the surrounding safe place and protrude down the building structure such as the downpipe.

In high-rise buildings, don't take the ordinary elevator to escape.

The ninth : slow down escape, slip line self-help

High-rise, multi-storey public buildings are generally equipped with high-altitude descenders or life-saving ropes through which people can safely leave dangerous floors. Without these special facilities, and the safety passages have been blocked, residents can quickly use the ropes or sheets, curtains, clothes and other self-made simple life-saving ropes and wet them with water from the window sill if rescuers are unable to arrive in time. Or slide the rope along the rope to the lower floor or the ground; escape safely.

Tenth : Refuge place, staying behind

If you feel hot by touching the door by hand, remember that once the door is opened, the flame and smoke will come to the face; if the escape route is cut off, no one will rescue it in a short time. At this time, you should first close the doors and windows that greet the fire, open the doors and windows of the backfire, plug the door with a wet towel or a damp cloth or wet the quilt with water, cover the doors and windows, and then do not stop the water from drenching the room to prevent the fireworks from infiltrating. Stay in the room until the rescuers arrive.

The eleventh : slow and light, seek assistance

Persons who are temporarily unable to escape from the fireworks should stay in places such as balconies and windows that are easy to be found and can avoid fireworks. Because firefighters enter the room and travel along the wall, they should try to roll to the wall or the door when they are suffocated by smoke.

Twelfth : The fire is already in the body, don't run away

If a person on the fire field finds a fire on his body, he must not run away or tap with his hand, because when running or tapping, it will form a wind, accelerate the supplement of oxygen, and promote the fire. When the clothes on the body are on fire, you should quickly try to take off your clothes or roll on the ground to suppress the fireflies; if you can jump into the water in time or let people water the body and spray the fire extinguishing agent, it is more effective.

The thirteenth : jumping off the building has surgery, although the loss of survival

Members of the public should bear in mind that only firefighters can prepare a life-saving air cushion and direct the jump, or the floor is not high (generally below 4 floors), and the non-jumping building will burn down.
